It’s almost Halloween! Although Europeans don’t celebrate Halloween like United States, that doesn’t mean that it’s not a great place to be on October 31st.
Halloween is the world’s second commercial holiday after Christmas and a good opportunity to travel the world, visit frightening places, learn about other nations’ cultures and traditions, and, why not, to have fun and indulge yourself in the local delicacies. Well, considering all these things, plus other characteristics such as weather and local attractions.
In addition to the Irish tradition of the Jack O’Lantern, the iconic Trick-or-treating, the telling of ghost stories, and the American custom of carving pumpkins, there are plenty of events and colorful parades taking place during this time of year throughout Europe.
Anyway, If you’re looking to do something different for Halloween, we’ve put together a list of the best things to do around Europe on the night of living dead. No trick-or-treating, we want the good stuff: parties and special events!

The glamorous British capital, with its bloody past, obscure dungeons, ancient buildings, chilling backstreets, and memories of the world’s most infamous serial killer – Jack The Ripper, has been often regarded as one of the world’s most haunted cities.
There’s a walking tour every Saturday at 7pm to discover the city’s terrifying past! The psychic medium, Jenny Cross, started offering these tours in 1993 when she started detecting ghostly and paranormal activity around Nottingham.
The Nottingham Ghost Walk Tour goes around different areas of the city, including the Nottingham castle, Belvoir castle and Newstead Abbey. These are all places where Jenny has felt the presence of ghosts.
